VISUAL CONCEPTS 123 (VC123) began as a graphic design service for artists, arts organizations, non profits and more, offering print design, web design, videography and digital storytelling.
Over the years we expanded to include arts & education programming (arts forums, guest speakers, community mini concerts and jam sessions) as well as media workshops and digital storytelling.
Community outreach and developing multicultural programs is also a specialty.
With the rise of online presenting , we offer consulting and production for virtual presentations and online platforms. All services are based in a diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) /social justice framework.

With more than 30 years professional experience in the arts, yvonne mendez is an arts professional. she is a curator/producer, arts administrator, media consultant and graphic designer.
her passion includes arts presenting, program development, event planning, general administration as well marketing, graphic design and digital storytelling.
BIO:
Yvonne Mendez began her professional career at UMass Amherst working with the multicultural theater New WORLD Theater (NWT). NWT worked to craft a culturally-diverse season, by living and breathing a philosophy of community collaboration, fueled by a dedication to showcasing BIPOC stories and engaging and empowering diverse communities. Yvonne helped build the theater that presented diverse stories on and off stage (theater, dance, music, spoken word) as well as hosting conferences that created space for meaningful dialogue on a variety of social and cultural topics. This forms the basis for all of Yvonne's arts, education & media work.
Yvonne focuses her design & media work on arts organizations and artists, as well as creating designs that continued to promote realistic and appropriate cultural representation for BIPOC and LGBTQ communities.
In 2005, yvonne completed her training as a digital storytelling facilitator and began teaching workshops alone the east coast. This genre offers a pathway to empowerment, and strength in individuals and communities, especially youth education,and now is a large part of the work of VC123.
For more thAN 30 years, Yvonne has served as an arts administrator and presenter of theater and music events. She served as the Programming director at the yard (Martha’s vineyard) and director of education and engagement at the umass amherst fine arts center. yvonne has facilitated many arts programs, hosting various performances, community "informances", receptions, mini concerts and jam sessions in community venues throughout Massachusetts. She has curated and produced various performances and festivals including the bright moments festival and the Springfield Jazz and Roots Festival. Yvonne's music and art programming as well as arts and education experience form the background for VC123 offerings and services.
Yvonne offers customized consulting on digital storytelling, marketing, design and implementation of virtual presentations, outreach program development and implementation, event planning, project management, teambuilding and more.
